Crafted from antique Chinese silk embroidery
Ren-Gu Stitchery gives new form to antique Chinese silk embroidery, working with fragments and garments from the Ming dynasty to early 20th century.
Each piece—whether framed, preserved, or reimagined—is made from authentic historical silk textiles, often once part of imperial or folk clothing.
Each piece is a quiet dialogue between past and present.
All of our materials are sourced from authentic Chinese silk embroidery, including court robes, folk garments, and antique silk fragments.
We work exclusively with silk—no cotton or synthetic fabrics are used.
Each piece is either preserved in its original form or reworked by hand in our studio using slow, respectful techniques.
No reproductions are used—every thread carries a genuine trace of history.
